Abstract
This retrospective cohort study evaluated pre-operative SF-12 scores in 127 patients with chronic cervical stenosis who underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) between 2000 and 2023. The study found that patients with mild cervical stenosis had significantly lower mental component scores (MCS-12) compared to those with moderate or severe stenosis (P-value < 0.01). The results suggest that cognitive behavioral therapy may benefit patients with mild cervical stenosis, as they showed lower physical and mental scores than those with more severe conditions.
