Abstract

Objective:  This  study  aims  to  observe  the  clinical  efficacy  and  potential complications of subcutaneous injections of a sodium hyaluronate composite solution for the treatment of neck wrinkles. Level of Evidence: Level V, therapeutic study. Methods: Patients with grade 1-4 neck wrinkles were selected for the study. Following surface infiltration and anesthesia, the sodium hyaluronate composite solution was injected into the neck wrinkles via intradermal injection, administered once every 28-30 days for a total of three sessions, constituting one treatment course. The therapeutic effects were evaluated at 1, 3, and 6 months following the completion of the treatment course. Doctor's Evaluation: Digital photographs were taken before treatment, and at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months post-treatment under consistent environmental conditions. Two independent physicians, who did not participate in the injections, evaluated the digital photographs and the real-time condition of the patients using a 0-4 grading scale, where 0 indicated no improvement, 1 indicated 0-25% improvement, 2 indicated 25%-50% improvement, 3 indicated 50%-75% improvement,  and  4  indicated  75%-100%  improvement. In cases  of score discrepancies, a third physician was consulted for assessment.Patient Evaluation: Patient satisfaction was assessed upon completion of the entire treatment course. A questionnaire survey was conducted based on patients' subjective evaluations, using a satisfaction rating scale from 0 to 10, where 0 represented very dissatisfied and 10 represented very satisfied. Results: A total of 36 patients were included in the study, with all patients demonstrating improvement in neck wrinkles. The proportions of patients showing greater than 50% improvement (scores of 3 to 4) were 97.1%, 91.5%, and 74.9% at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months post-treatment, respectively. Additionally, 80.6% of patients expressed satisfaction with the final results. Conclusion: The use of a sodium hyaluronate composite solution for injection is an effective and safe method for improving neck wrinkles.
