Abstract

Fitz-Hugh-Curtis Syndrome (FHCS) is a complication of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) characterized by perihepatic inflammation. In very rare cases, PID can occur concurrently with appendicitis. We present the case of a young female patient with severe abdominal pain and inconclusive imaging findings. Diagnostic laparoscopy revealed PID complicated by FHCS with concurrent appendicitis. Surgeons and clinicians must be aware that appendicitis can rarely occur simultaneously in patient diagnosed with PID and FHCS.
